 Approval of Minutes

 Budget Report

 Old Business-

• Ice Cream Social earned $462.  189 presale tickets were sold.   Thank you Dads, Melissa Richard and Lisa Eckerle.
• Book Fair earned $18,000.  Thanks to Mrs. Gabriels, and volunteers.
• McDonalds nights.  Thanks for teachers coming out.

New Business- 

• 2012-2013 PTO Board:  Donna Munch new VP, Dana Wingblad new Secretary.  All positions filled.
• Motion to purchase smart board for 2^nd Grade Classroom passed.  New smart board will be purchased for 2^nd grade classroom.
• Volunteer for 2012-2013 requests went out this week.
• PTO meetings will be Wednesday evenings at 7pm for the next school year.

Open Discussion-

Dr. Garrett-

• Teachers leaving:  Mrs. Forney, Binford, Given & Moffett.
• 5^th Grade Graduation June 12
• District 12-13 calendar is out.

Approval of Minutes

 Budget Report

 Old Business-

• Oakland Mall:  We came in 4^th place $650 won.
• Dining Out:  Chili’s breakfast May 12^th, McDonalds June 5^th.
• Fair:  Parent info packet going home with descriptions of games and prices.  Volunteer needed for prize room.  Would like to survey children of how many attended the fair afterwards.
• Teacher Appreciation:  Great donations are coming in.  Very generous vendors/business aroundTroyto help us celebrate our wonder teachers @ Wattles.
• Brain Freeze Friday:  Lots of ice cream was sold.  Next sale Friday the 23^rd.
• $500 TFEE Grant received for Excel Math!  Thank you Michelle Oddo!!!
• March is reading Month:  Record breaking year with children reading 9000+ hours!  Science Alive coming in next week for their reward.

 New Business- 

• PTO Board Nominations:  Secretary and co-vice president positions need to be filled.  All positions are open for nominations.  Nominations will be presented at the May meeting and voted on at June meeting. 
• 2012-2013 Budget:  will be discussed at May meeting and voted on at June meeting.  Board and teachers will meet before the May meeting.
• New 4^th grade camp fundraiser:  Jenyfer Lapish will chair Butter Braid Bread sale.

 Open Discussion-

• Big Beaver Tavern Charity Poker now booking for 2013.  Volunteers during the Tavern’s hours.  We are very interested in this and would like to book dates for next year asap.

 Teacher Reps-

• Mrs. Forney completed and submitted theGreenSchoolapplication.  She was very pleased and proud to announce that Wattles received the highest status – EVERGREEN level!! First time we have. There were many reasons why such as lunch recycling program, used book sale, used costume exchange, all recycling we do, Girl Scout Brownies juice bag purses, just to name a few. She specifically thanked Jennifer Bell and Lisa Eckerle for their contributions, and everyone else who played a part.   There is an Oakland Schools ceremony on Tuesday April 24th.
• Mr. Martin summarized the happenings in Kindergarten through 2^nd grade and Mrs. Garver reported on activities going on in grades 3-5.

 Dr. Garrett-

• Dr. Garrett spoke about the note sent home to parents about specific teacher requests NOT allowed. They will be returned. Any other information we think they need about placement of our child must be submitted to her by May 4th..
